Chanting Circles

Raise your vibration as we chant traditional and original mantras from around the world, accompanied by guitar, harmonium, harp, and frame drum.

A mantra is a sound, word or phrase, with spiritual significance, that is chanted, usually repetitively.

‘Man’ means mind, and ‘tra’ means instrument; a tool to calm the mind.

Each mantra induces specific vibrations in the mind and body, which cleanses and energizes the chakras (energy centres) and creates a sense of well-being.

Join us (Nienke & David) for a weekly ‘Sunset Sing & Sound Healing’, in Yandina.

Each Sunday afternoon you are invited to join us in song, as we sing a variety of traditional and original mantras and heartsongs, accompanied by acoustic guitar and harmonium.
Together we open our hearts, soothe our souls, and lift our spirits… Creating space for deep healing, self-expression, and connection.

As the sun goes down, we rest upon the earth, and finish off with a soul nourishing sound bath. Incorporating a variety of instruments like the didgeridoo, Shaman drum, Native American flute, crystal bowls, whale song, and angelic vocals.

Unlike a music performance, everyone is encouraged to join in, creating a sense of oneness, unity, community and belonging, through the universal language of sound.

Mantras are a tool to quiet the mind. A mantra is a sound, word or phrase, with spiritual significance, that is chanted, usually repetitively. Each mantra induces specific vibrations in the mind. We will chant mantras from different traditions, each with their own intention and healing vibration.
The repetitive chanting of a mantra helps mental, physical and spiritual health. Prefer to listen instead? Just thinking a mantra helps to focus the attention on the inside and reach a state of deep rest.

Sound therapy, also known as sound healing or vibrational medicine, is an ancient practice that employs the vibration of musical instruments, as well as the human voice, to trigger the relaxation response and activate the body’s natural healing abilities. It allows us to go deeper into meditation, and bring balance and harmony back into the whole body.

The ‘Sunset Sing & Sound Healing’ sessions are accessible to all ages and all levels of experience, and focuses on multiple levels of well-being.

We look forward to welcoming you each Sunday from 5pm-6:30pm.
We gather at the studio underneath the Yandina School of Arts, around the corner of the main entrance, at Stevens Street.
Please arrive 5-10min early to settle in.
